"Do I really need a website maintenance plan?"
Yes, of course we can! We won't leave you hanging. First, we'll need to put your website through a thorough Website Health Check to identify any potential areas of concern.
"My website was made by another company. Can you help me?"
You don't have to! All of our website care plans operate on a monthly basis with a simple 30-day cancellation policy.
"I don't want to sign a long-term contract right now."
If your website experiences downtime, I’ll be notified immediately through my monitoring systems and will work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
What happens if my website goes down?
We won’t hold it against you! Our support plan is month-to-month, so you just need to give us 30 days’ notice. We’ll even help with a seamless handover to your new developer, or we can handle the migration at our current hourly rate. If hosting is included, all site files and databases will be exported and made available to the client for 90 days, after which they will be destroyed.
What happens if I need to cancel?
It’s rare, but we’re prepared. Our website support and maintenance plan includes security monitoring to prevent attacks, but if someone does sneak in, we’ll jump in to clean up, fix it, and add extra safeguards.
What happens if my website gets hacked?
Absolutely! However, emergency repairs often cost more than preventative maintenance. Paying our standard hourly rate for one-off fixes can quickly exceed the cost of a monthly maintenance plan that keeps problems from happening in the first place.
Can I contact you for website issues without committing to a maintenance plan?
Yes, you can change your plan at any time. Upgrades or downgrades take effect from your next billing cycle.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Each month, you’ll receive a detailed report outlining all maintenance performed, along with performance metrics and any custom work (if applicable).
How do I know what's being done to my site?
Content tweaks, image swaps, and updates to your existing pages. For anything bigger, like adding a new feature, we can help at a discounted hourly rate.
What website changes can I ask for?
Absolutely! Just note, we can't promise the same level of speed, uptime, or security you'd get with our hosting option. If you'd rather go with another hosting provider, that's okay! We'd be happy to give you a list of recommended hosts.
Can I use my own hosting?
Hosting is where your site lives. Maintenance is what keeps it healthy—updates, backups, security, and support.
What's the difference between hosting & maintenance?
We take backups before updates and test changes. If something misbehaves, we roll back and fix.
What happens if an update breaks something?
Ongoing tasks that keep your site secure, fast and reliable—updates, backups, security monitoring, uptime checks, and performance optimisation.
What is website maintenance?
A content update is something that takes no longer than 30 minutes to do, and can be done from the WordPress dashboard. These can include adding a new blog post, header image changes, CSS tweaks, changing fonts, adding items to menus, loading and activating new plugins, adding images to a gallery etc.
What content updates will you do for me?
Our Support plans focus on minor edits, like modifying your gallery or adding fields to a contact form and troubleshooting issues. They do not cover custom development, theme changes, advanced functionality, or graphic design. For design work, you can request a quote at our current member discount rate. We provide customized support and design services to meet your needs.
What not included?
If you need additional assistance beyond what’s included in your plan, we can provide an estimate for any additional work, or if non-urgent, we can schedule for the following month. Website care plan members receive a discounted hourly rate based on the plan.
