Social Media Marketing is gaining brand awareness or website traffic using Social Media Platforms while Social Media Management is a system of creating, scheduling, analyzing, and engaging on Social Media Platforms.
The two go hand in hand because at the end of the day you want to create content, for people to engage with to become familiar with your brand and visit your website. There are many social media management tools that are cost-effective and can really help your Social Media efforts, you can find a few of them here:
Each Social Media Platform is different and should be treated as such. You need to be sharing different information on different platforms in order to receive maximum engagement. With that being said, start out with one platform at a time instead of going at the all-in-one approach. Master the platform and then head to the next in order to create more engagement.
What are the major social media platforms?
Facebook is the leader of the Social Media Platforms with 3.2 billion users, you are sure to engage with a variety of users if you find the right channel using their group and friend features. You have the ability to use text, images, and videos on this platform. While you can buy followers, (which is highly frowned upon) It looks great on paper but does terrible things for your engagement and analytics.
Facebook for Social Media Marketing
Creating a group to go along with a theme of your brand or business page to see what people are interested in is a great way to see what content to create, products to sell, and is a great way to start getting engagement with your brand.
Facebook Ads are also a way to get pay-per-click engagement with your brand. You can completely tailor the demographic you target – age, location, interests and so much more.
Adding the Facebook Pixel to your website enables you to re-target visitors who went to your website with an ad on Facebook.
Facebook for Social Media Management
We suggest posting a couple of times a day to start out with, that way you can analyze what times work best for engagement and go from there.
What was once a platform for pictures, Instagram has found a way to be competitive in the video market by adding Instagram TV. Instagram can be a blank canvas making a great way to create visual inspired content to get engagement with your brand.
Instagram for Social Media Marketing
Instagram is owned by Facebook so you can actually share your Facebook ad on Instagram. While pictures can still get the job done, video ads seem to be extremely effective on Instagram.
Create an interactive hashtag for user engagement
Instagram for Social Media Management
Just like Facebook, we recommend posting 3 times a day to see what times you get the best engagement.
You can get really creative with Instagram like making a giant picture out of your 9 picture Instagram grid. Using a grid app from the app store or using a website like canva can help you create a beautiful grid if you don’t know how to splice with Photoshop.

Seo is known as “Search Engine Optimization”. It is a term used for keywords being typed into a search engine such as Google or Bing and ranking according to the Search Engines Algorithm. How do you know what terms you want your website to rank for?
The most important part of Digital Marketing is Keyword Research. Knowing which keywords you want to spend your time and resources ranking for is vitally important to your SEO cause. Essentially everything you do on the internet is based around a keyword. So doing your homework and finding which keywords you want to rank for and how competitive they are mean a big deal throughout your SEO/Digital Marketing journey.
There are a lot of tools you can use to do Keyword research such as Neil Patel’s Ubersuggest
Optimizing your website for quality on-page SEO refers to items on your website that you can optimize in order to receive better search rankings. There are five main categories that your on-page optimization falls into Technical Optimization, Content, Meta Tags, Internal Linking and Design.
For technical optimization in plain terms not to get too techy – think about website load time. How fast or slow your website loads does determine whether or not your website will rank to search engines. Think of slow websites as having a bad click-through rate, and most likely no dwell time. The faster your website loads, the better experience for the user, the longer the amount of time they will spend on your site. You have to get them through the door in order to be interested in your page! They won’t make it through the door if there is a sloth in front of them, they will hit the X quickly and you can kiss that lead goodbye!
When it comes to content optimization think headings, text, images, and videos for this optimization technique. They all play an important role when it comes to search engine optimization.
With the use of text optimization, we are no longer in a world where you can optimize your post for one keyword. Search Engines in today’s world want to see that you know your stuff about the topic that you are writing about so your text needs to be filled with different variations of your keyword ‘keyword clusters’ in order to make sure that you can rank your website for one of those clusters.
Headings such as H1-H4 tags need to be optimized. You should only use one H1 tag throughout your post and break down the rest of your post into list or paragraph form.
Images are so important in your on-page SEO optimization. This includes regular images and infographics as well. Not only do you need them in your text, but you also need to make sure that they have alt tags and captions that are relevant to the topic of your post. Also, make sure your images are optimized. Having images with large file sizes can slow down your website immensely and that can mean bad things for your rankings.
Adding video to your website can do wonders for page view time. You need to make sure that your video can be viewed by visitors and you also need to make sure there is a description of the video. Adding subtitles or closed captions to your video ensures that people without audio can still learn something from your video and will continue to watch it without sound.
What are Meta Tags? They are snippets of text that are not actually on your website but in your source code that describes the content of your website to let search engines know what your website page or post is all about. You no longer have to be a coder to change the meta title and meta description of your website. If you have a WordPress site using a free tool like Yoast SEO allows you to optimize your website for a keyword and change the Title and Meta-description. Why are Meta Tags important? The Meta Title can be used by search engines to determine ranking. Meta Descriptions can determine click-through rate. If you have a meta description that is uninteresting to a reader, the chances of them clicking on your page is probably not that great. You should write your meta description like you were wiring an ad for that page. It needs to be made as such to gain interest in the viewer so they click on the page to view your website.
Internal linking is major when it comes to on-page SEO – you want to spread the link juice of two to three pages on your website that have the keyword you are optimizing for on this page. This is also where a good sitemap comes into play Letting search engines know which pages are related. Not sure how to create a sitemap? If you use the Yoast SEO plugin it creates a sitemap for you.
As a Digital Marketer, I can’t tell you enough how important your website design is. Gone are the days where you can just make something look aesthetically pleasing on your PC. Now you have to make sure you have a modern/responsive design that is mobile friendly. If your website doesn’t fit mobile and tablet versions, not only are you going to have a bad click-through rate, but search engines such as Google are going to penalize you for it as well.
Your overall design needs to be user-friendly, structurally sound- allowing users to go on an informational journey that is useful to them with a proper call to action in place allowing the user to interact with your website, not only increasing click-through rate and page dwell time but potentially becoming a lead as well.
“Domain Authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz that predicts how well a website will rank on search engine result pages (SERPs). A Domain Authority score ranges from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater ability to rank.” Moz
When you first purchase a Domain you start out at 0 and when you create more content that is useful to the user and getting noticed by search engines and other users, you then gain more Domain Authority. One average a website has been around ofr a few years has a domain authority between 30-40.
There is a lot of controversy in the SEO world that says that you can’t rank your website without backlinks and we’re here to tell you that is not the case. Search Engines want to see good quality content out there that is helpful to the user. If you can provide that amazing optimized content, then the search engines will reward you with the ranking for that keyword. You could say that when you write this amazing piece of content that you don’t need to beg for backlinks, but rather people will link to your page organically because the content is so great.
So you can see that Search Engine Optimization is a useful tactic in the Digital Marketing world, but did you know that SEO can be also used on a Local level, Local SEO, making it an easier market to compete in? PPC stands for ‘Pay-Per-Click’ and it is a brand of marketing where you pay a fee for everyone that clicks on your advertisement. You are essentially paying for visitors to go to your website instead of earning those clicks organically using digital marketing techniques such as Search Engine Optimization.
PPC advertising on search engines is one of the most popular forms of Digital marketing out there. The breakdown goes like this: You pick a keyword to place your ad, and then you bid to an amount to what you want to spend on your ad. When someone types in a keyword such as “Digital Marketing Agency Near Me” You might see Twinning Pros come up as one of the top ad spaces on the front page of google.
There is quite a variety of Pay Per Click Marketing Platforms. We will discuss the top five main platforms where PPC Marketing performs very well those platforms being:
Google is the #1 Search Engine. The majority of people will automatically search for terms on google before going anywhere else, making it one of the best lead generating websites out there. Paying for advertising space here can be costly but this PPC platform is worth it in the long run.
Another Search Engine that has been around for a while is Bing. It happens to be preferred by most users and is gaining in popularity especially for marketers as Google’s main focus is to monopolize the digital world and keep people on their website as long as possible. With Bing being less competitive, it makes the ad space cheaper to purchase.
The third most popular Search Engine is Yahoo. It’s also been around for a long time, being some users main search engine. With it falling behind Bing and Google, you can capitalize on the right keywords at a cheaper rate than the other 2 search engines.
Social Media plays a big important role in the Pay-Per-Click Advertising Market. You can highly target your demographic market on Facebook and can therefore receive more views on your ad. Ever heard of the Facebook Pixel? This is the ultimate re-targeting tool to be able to get people who were already on your website to come back and purchase from you.
Youtube PPC Campaigns are growing in popularity. With Youtube being owned by Google, Youtube has become the #2 Search Engine out there. In today’s on-the-go society, watching a quick video to learn their topic of choice is easier than reading 1,000 word blog articles. Which also works better for advertising as well. If you can give a quck 1 -2 minute video to attract your keyword friendly audience then Youtube is for you!
The difference between Social Media and Search Engine PPC Campaigns is user-intent. On Search Engines the user has to type in the keyword or a variation of it in order to see your ad, on Facebook a user has to of just had an interest in the topic that you are targeting or just meet the demographics they are trying to target. On Social Media a person can click on the Ad just out of sure curiosity and on Search Engines with the user having more intent, is going to generate better leads for your business.
Keyword Research is probably the most important part about PPC Campaigns. You are paying for people to click on your ‘keywords’ so you want them to be worth the money. You can bid to be competitive in high interest markets, or you can do your research and find the long-tail version of those keywords which are still searched for, less competitive and therefore cost less money. Which gives you the more bang for your buck!
During your PPC campaigns you need to continue to research keywords that are important to your campaign. Along with keyword research you need to review your active PPC campaign. You need to keep what is working and change what isn’t. Bidding for keywords that are expensive and under-performing are a waste of your time and you need to replace them with keywords that do work.
Benefits of PPC
One of the main benefits of PPC is that you can essentially buy your way to top rankings. A plus side to this is that you can A) Buy rankings until you can earn them organically or B) Buy rankings in the Ad space even if you are top ranked – to ensure your website gets more views.
Why use PPC over other forms of marketing
If you follow the steps correctly, do your keyword research and bid for the keywords you know you can get business from: then you know the amount you spend on pay-per-click advertising is irrelevant because the amount you can get from the lead should be at least twice that amount.
PPC can be one of the greatest tools at your disposal. You can generate leads by being the top rated ad on the first page of google, while also being the top ranked organic listing on Google as well. The more times a current or prospective customer sees your name on the front page of google, the more authority they give your business/website and the more chances of them becoming and actual customer.

The definition for graphic design given by dictionary.com states it is the art or profession of visual communication that combines images, words, and ideas to convey information to an audience, especially to produce a specific effect. In more simpler terms, graphic design uses visual aids to communicate different feelings or ideas. But what does this mean to you? You might find yourself needing to create or design communication pieces like flyers, forms, mass e-mails, mailers, business cards, or even websites and you don’t have much knowledge of design. And that’s ok. We’re here to help. We want you to know that you don’t need to have a degree or background in design to accomplish most of these things, you just need to know where to start.
Graphic design is everywhere. From the commercial signs you see outside of businesses and billboards, even the video games your kids (or even your husband) are playing, even the websites you browse and the mobile apps you scroll through you’re looking at different types of interfaces all being used by graphic design.
What is the point of Graphic Design?
The whole point of graphic design is to make things more appealing to the consumers or customers. Yes, that’s right. Graphic design has nothing to do with what YOU want or what your preferences are. For your graphics to be portrayed successfully, you need to understand your audience. Graphic design is attracting viewers using images, color and typography. Even though the graphic design process is about something you want to represent your business or organization, but you also need to think about the customer or user’s expectations. Sure, you can build a simple website that has all the necessary information that a customer might need to know, but do you have all of the elements they are looking for? Is it esthetically appealing to your customers? How are you going to get them to scroll through more than one paragraph on your website? It’s all about the design.
“A lot of people in our industry haven’t had very diverse experiences. So they don’t have enough dots to connect, and they end up with very linear solutions without a broad perspective on the problem. The broader one’s understanding of the human experience, the better design we will have.”
– Steve Jobs
What tips do you have for utilizing graphic design in my business?
If I can give you one take away from writing this article, it is for you to get to know your target audience. This is overlooked by so many people, but this is the first thing Tabatha and I do when taking on a new client at Twinning Pros. I’m not going to go into too much detail because you can read the full article on how to reach your target audience. But here are key points to consider in order to understand your target audience:
Demographic- Is your ideal client of a certain age or a specific gender?
Location – Where are they located? This will help you with location-based marketing efforts.
Industry – Is your product or service more relevant to one business model over another?
Salary Range or Earnings – Is your ideal customer a high-end investor or are they your typical median salary employee? This will help you price your products properly.
Hobbies – Does your product or service reflect a particular sport or something someone does in their free time?
If you can understand your demographic it will help increase brand awareness and encourage brand loyalty. Graphic design is used to help you visualize the appeal that their products or services can bring to you, all while trying to attract you away from their competitors. When you meet someone and they hand you their business card, that is their visual aid to attract you to their brand. As simple as the business card seems, the logo that someone either designed themselves or paid someone to design for them, is there to provide you with a small token to help you remember them. That is what graphic design is all about. It’s about what the image says about you and what you want it to represent. Twinning Pros knows how to use graphic design to build your brand whether you are local to the Covington or Destin area or are located nationally throughout the U.S. We are here to help you and your business grow your reach and build your brand!

Email Marketing works because it feels more personal and you don’t have to fight algorithms on Social Networks to reach every person on your contact list.
When you think of Email Marketing, do you think of it as one of the best forms of Digital Marketing? One of the oldest and greatest forms of Digital Marketing is Email Marketing, but why does email marketing work? With something that sounds as simple as sending an email, what makes it so great? Today we are going to discuss just that, the reasons email marketing will continue to be a leading form of marketing for the long haul.
You Own Your Contact List
With other forms of digital marketing out there, while they work incredibly well – they don’t have the same effects as email marketing. If Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and any other type of social platform decided tomorrow to change their algorithm to where even less of your “followers” can’t see your posts, you as a business owner have every right to leave that platform, but you can’t bring your followers with you. With email marketing that is not the case.
Email marketing works because there are many different platforms for email marketing: Mailchimp, Ontraport, ActiveCampaign and so much more. There might be different options but you can try out each one and see which you like and gets you better results, and you can bring your contact list with you! You own your email list, that is your digital marketing gold. If you transfer from software to software, you don’t have to fret the thought of having to start all over.
You Can Personalize Your Message to Your Customers
What makes someone feel `connected to your brand, is receiving personal messages. They like to feel as if you are talking to them personally. This is why email marketing is so successful because when you get the personal information to your ‘followers’ or ‘subscribers’ you can tailor a message with their name and any other specific information you want to put in there and you can send it to the whole list all at one time, automating a personal message to hundreds or thousands with just the click of a button!
Responding to a message right after a current or prospective customer sends an email to your website, is one of the ways email automation makes email marketing great. You can set up a message to be spent when certain triggers on your website are hit, and you don’t even have to be by the computer when they are happening!
Have some important information that you think all of your readers need to know? Send them down a drip path! When they show an interest in a topic that you cover, they can opt-in and get the information they need over a series of emails that you can decide how far apart they should be. This is the best way to keep your readers interested!
People Want to Hear From You
Subscribing to your email list is not the same as ‘liking your page’. When someone subscribes to your email list, they are letting you know that they want to receive emails from you. They know that what you are going to send them is not spam, but information, coupons, and specials information which are they are interested in.
You Don’t Have To Message Them Daily
They say less is more especially when it comes from Email Marketing. You want people to hear from you enough that they remember your name when it comes to the services you provide, but not so much that you are a nuisance. We recommend sending either a weekly or biweekly email to see the best results for your open rates.
It takes a lot of work to grow your email list, just like it takes a lot of work to grow your social following. You can combine the two forms of Digital Marketing by adding a social share button to the bottom of your email. Using email to bridge the gap between your other marketing efforts can do wonders if you’re your business.
Email marketing sets itself apart away from the pack with the way you can automate and customize your emails with ease. Knowing that you own your list, and can bring it with you to whatever service you want. Just this information alone makes it one of the best forms of digital marketing out there.
